while cruising the ol’ itunes music store, i came across a video for johnny cash’s “god’s gonna cut you down” which is my favorite track on the new album. i hit up youtube and luckily they had it, and it appears to be posted by john’s estate.

there was an interesting comment about this video:

good song, but I can’t figure out if the lyrics ara(sic) anti christ, or christian.

my analysis of the song is that it’s neither. the song basically calls all those self-righteous ministers, politicians, average joes, etc. who say one thing and do another. you can do and say whatever you want, and you may actually believe it, but god’ll cut you down in the end.

as luck would have it, a video was made out of other favorite song, “help me.” to keep up with the over-analysis, this song is the answer to the previous.
