the zero hour approaches.

it is currently a little after 7pm here in seattle and my plane leaves in a little under 13 hours. i need to psyche myself up.

like the ride down here, i plan on staying up all night because my shuttle will be getting here at five in the morning. i don’t want to miss it by sleeping through it. hopefully, i’ll be able to get that first class upgrade that i didn’t get on my way up here.

like yesterday, today was just a bum around day. yesterday, i went to the pacific science center with the girl i’m staying with. her sister works there so we got in for free and even got to see an imax movie for free, vikings: journey to new worlds. it was good, but there wasn’t enough pillaging. i was also really disappointed to find out that the vikings didn’t really have horns on their helmets. that minnesota football team needs to do something about their helmets.

after that, we tooled around seattle center for a bit, stopped at rei, then headed for her grandmother’s place to feast on wild goose. this is my first experience with goose, and i found it to be rather tasty. i actually liked it.

today was laundry day. no real plans. went to the laundromat, dropped the stuff into the washer and headed for tully’s for some coffee. while waiting for the stuff to dry, i was eavesdropping on these girls talking (loudly) about how they only date younger guys because the guys their age or older only seem to think about themselves. but in the same breath, these same girls complained that they always had to pay for everything. they also complained that there weren’t any cute, rich guys in seattle. it took everything in me to not call them “golddigging bitches.” i held it in. those golddigging bitches.

anyway, i am now in a sort of meditative state in preparation for the plane ride. i’m not worried about anything happening. i just hate flying.
